Using ESRI 10.1 as the platform, a mobile device will send a lon/ lat, Text1 string, text2 string and device ID into our HTTP site using XML / SOAP to our IP address. 1) Set up the ESRI web service to receive the data. 2) ESRI will make a 5 mile radius buffer and search our database table for a name match to text1. 3) The web service will place points on the 5 mile radius map that matches the text1, search. 4) The matching data list is sent up to the phone along with the map image. 5) Confirmation is set back to confirm the data was transmitted.

Hi I have 47 PDF A4 maps exported from ESRI ArcMap. I would like to have these 47 maps digitalized into 1 MapInfo TAB file. I have attempted to do this with different file conversion software and can import the polygons, but I require the polygons to have the same colour fill as shown in the PDFs. I do not require the legend along the bottom, as I want the maps to be joined together. Please review the 2 attached PDF maps and MapInfo Tab file of the same region. Need to implement update point feature class attributes and delete point point feature. For the above mentioned one feature class, there is another point feature class which has relationship. The operation on each will affect the other one. For example, feature class A and B (both are related point feature class with one-many relationship) need functions as below: 1. I need a very simple python script using the arcpy module for arcmap 10. Using the attached data, the script should find a good location for a school with the following criteria: 1. The location should be within 200 m of roads 2. Location should be within 1, 2 and 4 km from existing schools The script must produce three shape files, one for each of the three distances in criterion number 2 while still keeping criterion 1. Script should be as simple and short as possible, nothing fancy. Probably using buffer and union tools.
