Small Latex Project Fix

Recently I wrote a research paper in LaTeX for the 1st time in my life. While I managed to smoothly transfer the paper from a word document into LaTeX, I couldn't make the bibliography section work. It either shows a bunch of question marks or nothing at all. for this paper I need two things: i. To fix the bibliography code for me. ii. Since it's my 1st project, I'm sure my coding is a mess. So, preferably, I'd like a LaTeX expert to restructure the whole code into a well organized and professionally presented style so that I may be able to use it as a template in the future. Upon satisfactory completion, I will consider awarding a few more Latex projects that are more complex than just a bibliography fix and creating a general template.
