One hard part is for the image matching(take product photo image and somehow get the product details). Is this for image comparison or OCR(extract text from image and then compare it with product list)? Another question is what kind of payment gateway is used? Please reply to clarify. Hi I have been developing Android apps for the last 4 years or so.I have red the attached pdf file in detail.I have done some similar retrieval projects in the Pat and i am pretty confident that ill be able to complete this on time. This is how i plan to develop your problem -First perhaps it is better to develop a mobile app. then we will proceed towards tablet app -I am planning to use classical DB retrieval methods to retrieve the product data from the Database i can develop routine that can optimize i-e make it quick. -I already have a working prototype for QR-code recognition. So i am sure this module will be over quickly. -I am thinking oh having a small local DB which whenever the app is launch cross checks the particular tables of main DB to check if there is any "update", If yes it will load that data into its local Db for optimized processing. Just to summarize these are our obvious observations and we can discuss these in details We can discuss it in detail. Regards
