Help me with Marketing a Photographer's website on African culture, people and places

To find good channels of creating an awareness in the United States to those who would like to collect photographs on the African culture, people and places. The gallery is online amongst other artists but this particular one needs solid publicity to those who would like them. The freelance would have to determine the method of reaching the target market that would really love to have these works. I am not too sure I am allowed to put the web link here but it will be given during discussion of interested freelancers. Lastly, the freelancer should describe how I can be sure his or her effort can be measured to convince that patronage has been due to his efforts. This is to justify the fees spent here.
