Financial Controller - Ongoing

Must be native, or fluent in English, with strong communication skills as this role will be responsible for all financial controls in the organisation, and will be required to work with operational staff remotely on a regular basis. Thanks, Luke The role will be contracted at an hourly rate, and require weekly timesheet submissions. Job Description The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the clients financial control objectives are met. The role will lead the engagement with the client, and have general oversight and management of the finance department. This role will be the primary point of contact with the client. This role will be fully remote, with the expectation to be available for client engagement during US business hours. Working in a similar timezone is prefereable, but not essential, so long as the candidate can be available on US hours when required. Responsibilities Financial business partner for a designated client Managing day-to-day company accounts Oversight and management of Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Recievable and Accounting processes and personel Ownership of the month end close processes, including all balance sheet reconcilliations Sales tax reconcilliations Profit and loss reporting, including expense, revenue and profitability analysis Insurance policy management Inter Company reconcilliation process Lease management and accounting Asset management and accounting Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years experience in the area CPA, CA or equivellant post graduate qualification Proficiency with QuickBooks Strong excel skills Understanding of US GAAP Understanding of US Sales taxes Excellent client engagement and communication skills Native, or Fluent written and verbal communication in English
