My partner and myself sold our house, gave away my business and sold/gave away most of our possessions in 2003 in order to travel the world and surf. We have been doing it ever since and we're having a ball. My background is in gymnastics coaching to international level but in the last few years (inbetween the surfing and travelling)I have done almost every job under the sun to make ends meet and continue living the dream. Cleaning toilets, mopping up vomit and peeling potatoes are all easy to survive when you know that after a few weeks/months the open road will beckon and adventures abound. Lucky, lucky me! Despite my easy nomadic lifestyle I have extremely high work ethics. I'm a firm believer that whatever job you do should be done with 100% effort ( yes even cleaning toilets!) I have always written. Words are pure joy to me and I think this must have been inherited. My Mother would read a dictionary and thesaurus for pleasure (weird I know). I keep a very light hearted but detailed journal of all my travelling; I write poetry and do creative writing for fun; I have just completed my first manuscript for a novel. I too read dictionaries!! I am no longer a spring chicken ( I think I'm 40 something ....... ) but surfing and being extremely happy keeps me young and healthy.
