Product registration site.

**We need to have a product registration website developed.** When someone receives one of our products from a retailer they will need to register it online. The customer will be given instructions on which website to enter their activation code. Once they get to the website they will click on a link that will say activate your registration code. The code will be a 10 digit Alpha Numeric Code. They will enter it as ALL CAPS and or numbers. We will not use letter o number 0, letter I, number 1, letter l, or any other character that can be confusing. On the registration screen we will ask the following questions. First Name Last Name Address 1 Address 2 City State Zip Cell Phone Email Address Username Password Activation Code that they received will be entered also. We will need to time and date stamp their registration as well as capture their IP address. Once they hit submit they will be sent a verification email. They must click on the link in the email to verify the email address. They will be then taken back to the website where they can login using their username and password. **In the user admin area we need the following.** They should have the ability to edit their profile. They can also add 2 more people to their profile. They would enter all the information into contact 2 and contact 3 but no username or password. The other users will not have permission to enter the admin area. The reason we need to time and date stamp is that this is a one year subscription that is for free. In one year we need to automatically send them a reminder email to renew their subscription for $[login to view URL] which will be setup in the Admin area. We will set the frequency of reminder emails up in Admin. Maybe 30 days before expiration, 10 days and 3 days. We would like a message area within the user login area that we could send messages or news to now and again. **The main Admin area** will be able to manage all registered users as well as add users on the fly. We should be able to assign a registration code to a user and edit it as needed. Once we add a new user in the admin area the time will start for a free one year subscription then they will receive the reminders close to the one year subscription expiration. We need the ability to see all registered users, search and sort to see when subscriptions are coming due. We also need to report on subscriptions that have been paid etc. We will be using PayPal for our payment gateway. We need to be able to send internal messages to users as well as email messages either to one or many. We also need to be able to place news or messages in the user area when they login. All users' passwords must be encrypted and user and admin areas must be secure. When a user registers their code but does not click on the verification email the status should say "pending verification" We need to automatically send them a reminder in a few days to click on the verification link before their product is active. After the free one year subscription we want to send the user an email asking them if they want to subscribe for another year of service at a cost of $[login to view URL] and if they click on the renew link they will be taken into their user area where they can click on a button to renew their subscription for another year. We would like some site statistics also. Total members, pending members, keep track of each member's login information. Also in admin we need an email template area where we can add, edit, delete the text of the outgoing emails for subscriptions, verification email, and reminder emails etc. **Site Front End.** We will be designing the site and on the front page there will be a field for someone to enter the 10 digit code into. The site is going to be similar to [[login to view URL]][1] Go ahead and click on the "Demo" button and read the description of how the code works. This site is for lost pets but our site is not for lost pets. Type your name, email address and phone number in the boxes and click "Notify Owners" button. You will see a sample of a message that is sent to the person that owns that registration code. In the admin area we need to be able to adjust the message content that gets sent out via SMS. If the user's opted to add 2 other contacts they will also receive the same message as user 1 on their cell phones and email addresses. **SMS Service.** We want to use Twilio [[login to view URL]][2] for as our SMS service so you will need to set up a free account and test it with their API and sandbox. Once it's setup we can get our own account and make adjustments within the admin area. We need to keep track of how many times a code gets used and SMS messages get sent out.
