Create Blog and Shopping Cart for New EBiz

Dear Prospective Web Designer/Developer, While we are new to ecommerce and need a knowledgeable and versatile web designer/developer, we do have sound background in wholesale/retail sales and marketing. Product retail is what we want to target on both our Blog, which we would like to get up and running within the next 3 to 5 days, and our Website, which we'd like up and running within a week ... or sooner if it's possible. We would like to mention that whoever comes aboard will also be someone we would like to build an ongoing relationship with as our ecommerce business grows and expansion or new blogs/websites become necessary. We are looking for the right person to help us design and develop both a "Blog with Shopping Cart" and a "Website with Shopping Cart," and as stated above we're very serious about establishing a strong relationship with our selected "freelancer" so there can be ongoing consistency in design and development outcomes for our future projects--we are looking to have additional blogs and/or websites in the near future. We have heard it said from numerous ecommerce business persons within our network, that WordPress is currently considered the best blog software for our immediate needs. We believe we were also told that a website can be built "behind" our blog (?) ... not 100% sure what that means but we're confident you can help explain this to us. We own numerous domain names, with a couple of these vying for final name selection. Others can be used in our content as "keywords" serving to help our SEO. This leads to another important skill we need in our "Freelancer": namely, she/he must have a strong understanding of SEO and its successful application, so we can be confident in your advice as we build our ecommerce business. Another skill we hope you possess is the ability to work from a template as we have access to a number of these available from "JustHosting.com", There are other resources available to us from this site. We will be creating and/or providing the majority of content to our designer/developer, but also invite her insights into the ways to maximize its application to our ecommerce business. CMS must be a part of the website design [not sure if/how Blogs can be changed or expanded over time] so future pages can be added. A viable and secure shopping cart/payment system, starting out simple and able to grow along side of our business needs must be part of each project. We've had a couple of references to "E-Junkie" as an inexpensive cart that allows for staged growth--we're thinking this is what we would like incorporated in our Blog/Website. A well-designed product page listing the individual products with descriptive content. An area where links to important support documentation. [We will provide these links as well.] Overall we would like a clean presentation, with a warm invitation to our visitors that says "learn more" so you can feel comfortable and confident with our products. Also important is an extremely user friendly way to navigate around the site ... ways to avoid drop outs, etc. WE HAVE SEVERAL EXISTING WEBSITES WE WOULD LIKE TO USE AS EXAMPLES OF WHAT WE'RE NEEDING TO ACCOMPLISH and we will share this information when we discuss the project with you. Would love to discuss project with any seriously interested candidates; and we are open to hearing from anyone who considers themself to be a highly TALENTED INDIVIDUAL, but who may not have had the opportunity to utilize these in a lot of "real world" applications ... i.e., web design/developer students who have recently completed their degree program(s) and/or at near completion of such.
