I need a linux program (whatever language is ok) that connects to a specified server socket and process the JSON data into a mysql table. The JSON data works like this: 1. Once connected, the program should issue a command "{"type":"SUBSCRIBE"}" The server will reply a snapshot of all current events. All these events should be inserted into a table of the database. 2. After the initial snapshot, the server will issue further JSON feed that indicates any changes small to the snapshot. The program listen to these changes and then update the table. ok I can do it in both php and c++ but easier for me will be php. It will be run as a cgi-script - not as part of apache. And I have a question 1- when it must be finished? Some command?
