Python pygame for some research purpose

i have basic code foe battleship,the game itself doesn't have to be battleship. The game itself isn't important, I just thought it would be easy to make. If you want you can literally choose any game you'd like to make using pygame. What is important are the features/functional requirements/constraints such as 2-10 players, chat...ect. Because the main objective for the project I will be using this game for is research on the protocol and not the game itself
