PDF automatic cleaning tool

General info Our company receives a lot of pdf files, which contain client info. We need to share these files with suppliers, but don’t want to share client info. For the moment, we open pdf files 1 by 1 in ‘Sejda PDF desktop’ and ‘Whiteout’ all confidential information we can find on the file. This is a waste of valuable company time. Expectations We hope to speed up by creating a program, where we can upload a series of pdf files which are linked to 1 project. All company names, logo’s etc, everything which leads to our client, needs to be erased from these files. The program saves the files in a folder which we select. The files should be saved in pdf format, with the same name as the initial file, but name starts with “Mach_”. For example: initial file is [login to view URL]; updated file is Mach_CNCpart01082023.pdf. We should be able to ‘feed’ the program with words and logos which need to be erased for every project. These need to be added when we have a new client for example. A feature where we delete certain words or logos only in 1 series of files and not in other projects would be desirable. Process • General : User : adds names, logos etc which need to be erased for every project • Project : 1) User: Optionally adds names, logos etc which need to be erased for this project 2) User: Upload series of PDf files in program 3) Program : Search and erase client company name(s) on files 4) Program : Search and erase client logo(s) 5) Program : Search and erase people names 6) Program : Ask user to select folder where updated files can be saved 7) User : select folder + save 8) Program : Save updated files as pdf with name “Mach_original file name”. Fyi - Most of this info will be found on the bottom right corner of the pdf, but this is not always the case. - Most pdf files have 1 page, but we also get pdf files with multiple pages. - Watch out for errors by deleting too much info. Attached also 2 examples of what the tool should be capable of. • Filename (Original) -> Mach_Filename • ‘Edited_Filename’ shows the info that is erased between ‘Original and ‘Mach_Filename’
