My sites [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] receive about a total of 300 visitors per day. They are hosted on a VPS at Interserver.com. The VPS has 8Gb RAM, 160Gb HDD and 4 CPUs. 99% of the time it is up, but almost every day it goes down for exactly 3 mins 23 secs. One developer thinks that plugins, particularly Yoast SEO, are overloading the server. He says: ”They are eating up huge RAM and CPU. CPU doesn't reach the peak but RAM declines below 50 mb and your server gets stalled.” And he supplied this sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1P1GRxKc20yPo8qkL2K6wZiz5JDRtpLoBVDE5Rd364uA/edit#gid=1784592461 I recently upgraded the server to 10Gb RAM and 5 CPUs. Also, I removed Wordfence. But it didn't make any difference. The server still goes down for a few minutes at random times. What kind of server gets overloaded by 300 visitors a day?!
