I need you to write a report for something. This Project You are to start a new business. The business has to be started from scratch and should be something realistic e.g. a coffee shop, a mall stand etc. Assumptions regarding the start-up capital required and sources of financing should be supplemented with evidence. You are required to assume different managerial/worker positions in the business and salaries; overhead costs etc. should be clearly stated. The project consists of three major parts:1 - You are required to prepare pro-forma financial statements for at least 5 years. It may be that your business may run for over 5 years and you would need to include the cash flows that occur after the 5th year in the final analysis. You can do it either by assuming that the increase in cash flows is in the form of constant growth forever after year 5 (perpetuity) or you can sell your business after the 5th year and include the sale price in the cash flows for the 5th year. 2- You are required to calculate the external financing needed every year and mention the sources of financing that you would use for such. Remember that you are starting this business as a partnership and any future equity capital from one of the partners would increase the share of the partner in the business. If you decide to borrow money, use the interest rate offered by banks to start-up business ventures. This includes research on the current market rates and the collateral requirements for such loans. 3 - You are to conduct a capital budgeting analysis on the business and decide whether you should invest in the business or not.
