I love programming mathematical models. I would do the project in Python with a little Cython if necessary. I have pretty good familiarity with quantum mechanics and feel this project would be very interesting and exciting for me. I am not an expert on quantum computing per se, but I have a good handle on the mathematics of vector spaces/basic quantum mechanics. I have a passion for learning quantum mechanics and physics and I love using python. I think a final version would probably be in an IPython notebook, if that would be OK. I would be very interested to know what exactly the project entails.
