I need someone who can read the below carefully and perform the actions / tasks outlined below. - Monitor a single twitter account for some special charecters - Check to see if this is a word that has been mentioned in the last tweet (i.e if this is the first time this word is being mentioned or has been mentioned already in the past 24 hours) - If the word is being mentioned for the first time, perform an API call ( to another system / platform / api. Details will be provided to the winning bidder) Please do not use automated posts to respond to this post as you will be ignored. I believe this is a simple project and should not take much effort from a skilled python developer. To ensure you have read this post in it's entirety, please ensure you begin your response with the word 'flaming'. This will help me filter the bots from the humans. Please also make sure you do not tell me anything about your past projects.. Just respond telling me that you're capable and tell me how long you think this might take or if you foresee any challenges in the project. flaming yes this seems like straightforward to implement using some Python code. My propose for 2 days and $100 is not final because I don't have the details about the 2nd part regarding the other API calls. I would like to get some idea about it too! Thanassis

Flaming I am experienced in python and Twitter, this seems to be a relatively simple task that should not take long. I have estimated 2 days in case there are any unforeseen api difficulties or difficulties with databases/database servers. I would probably use PostgreSQL to allow for rapid analysis/more complex queries in the future.

flaming! Hi, with your description, for this work, we need a linux server and a database, redis is the best. Without the database is OK, but the python program will take more memory, it's depending the frequency of the twitter message sending.
