As a dedicated and professional client, I'm seeking a proficient backend web developer to join our business [login to view URL] The right candidate will be focusing their main attention to streamline and enhance the backend development and working closely with our seasoned CTO. Priority to smooth functionality (Drupal, PHP, Linux) is essential. Front end aesthetic appeal is a nice to have (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) but not a must. Responsibilities: PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION * Conduct thorough performance assessments of Drupal 10 websites to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. * Implement advanced caching strategies and optimization techniques to enhance overall site speed and responsiveness. SERVER CONFIGURATION AND MAINTENANCE * Work to configure and optimize Nginx, MySQL, and Ubuntu servers for optimal Drupal performance. * Collaborate with the infrastructure team to ensure smooth and efficient server operations. CODE REVIEW AND ENHANCEMENT * Conduct code reviews to identify and rectify performance-related issues in custom modules, themes, and other Drupal components. * Collaborate with development teams to implement best practices for efficient code execution. SCALABILITY PLANNING * Develop and implement strategies for scalability to accommodate growing user bases and increased website traffic. * Work with the team to plan for and execute performance testing to identify potential scaling challenges. MONITORING AND TROUBLESHOOTING * Implement monitoring tools to track and analyze website performance metrics. * Respond promptly to performance-related incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure continuous optimal performance. Document and support -Document user guides/troubleshooting instructions as part of our knowledge base and collaborate with the CTO to resolve technical issues. -Continuously expand your knowledge of our software, backend technologies, and frontend skills and provide feedback to the product/sales team on customer pain points and suggestions for improvement. Relevant certifications and practical experience in Drupal, PHP, Linux, and frontend technologies will also be considered. Market-standard coding practices, a creative thought process and the ability to deliver within strict timelines are things I value deeply.
