Good afernoon, Have you considered starting off with a database and front-end in place of a desktop program? What I am thinking of is a Mysql database running locally and a PHP front-end which would be available in your browser. This could function exactly like your current Excel solution but a lot easier to use for the users. Since SAS can import data from Excel, txt or CSV files I could add export functions to the system to create these files or, possibly to a SAS data set if and when you do go to SAS. I have changed several Excel systems into database systems and can provide references in the US if you like. I could host the system on my servers locally here in Cape Town during development and can then create it on your live server or provide you with instructions if you prefer to do it yourself.
