Write some Software

First time I have used your site.\r\n\r\nI am not exactly sure what I am after, whether a website, CMS, software or something other, hence the reason why I have selected the assisted option.\r\n\r\nI am trying to create a sort of inventory management system, but with specific details and functions.\r\n\r\nI suppose it is like a database in many ways, to store data and then allow that data to be accessed and manipulated etc... However I need this data to be able to be inputted through the web with a clean and clear GUI.\r\n\r\nWhat this program/database needs to achieve:\r\n\r\nBackground:\r\n\r\nI frequently purchase items from auction sites and in some cases stores. I would like to keep track of all the details regarding these purchases, ie. invoice no., place of purchase, purchase amount, other charges, my research on the items... etc... etc... etc... and then also keep track of all the details for their sale. I would need to be able to perform searches of the data and produce some specific reports.\r\n\r\nEssentially I buy stuff and I sell stuff. I need to know what I have in stock and the details of each item. Relatively straight forward I think.\r\n\r\nI have created some simple tables in MS Access so that I can show the developer the fields I believe are required and their relationships. See attached Relationship PDF. There might still need to be a few changes/additions to this though.\r\n\r\nIf this program (or whatever is created) needs to be hosted on a domain, I have a number of domains where this could be hosted.\r\n\r\nThank you for your guidance with this. I have been told that to get the best from the developer with as little misunderstanding is to have a robust job scope. I have never written a job scope and not sure where to start.\r\n\r\nI trust that you will be able to provide guidance with what I should do first.\r\n\r\nCheers\r\n\r\nTony
