Coupon code functionality needed for customized OS Commerce 2.2 MS2 store. Project completion requires the following: Administered from admin panel. As many coupon codes as wanted could be made and saved to the store database. On checkout, a customer can enter a coupon code and have its effects applied to the order, but all effects only apply to one particular manufacturer, which is selected in the admin panel. Effects desired: (each number would be for a particular code: buy3get1free would be effect "1", 25off would be 25% off which is effect "2", etc) 1. Buy [number] of [1 or more product categories], get [this many of the cheapest] free -- in practice, a person adds four different store items in a certain category, then when the coupon code is entered, one of the least valuable items' price in that category is subtracted from the total order. Example: Buy [3] of [widgets from categories A, B, C] and get [1][cheapest item] of [widget from categories A,B,C] free that is already present in the cart. item 1 = $70 item 2 = $50 item 3 = $50 item 4 = $100 Coupon code subtracts one of the $50 items from the cart subtotal. If a user had bought 16 items, the 4 lowest-cost items would become "free", subtracted from subtotal before taxes applied. SHIPPING charges must still apply for all items as the items in question are heavy. 2. Percentage discount off total order subtotal. 3. Add free [specific item] to order when anything purchased valued greater than [number]. 4. Add free [specific item] to order when [category of item] purchased. 5. Expiration date for any coupon code and error message when an expired code is used. Example: Sorry, this offer has expired! Please check [login to view URL] for new offers! Thanks for your time.
