THE SETUP:
We have a webpage that has a google pr of 4 and lots of tasty spiderable links and text. Google and Yahoo spider this page and our site daily.
We must add a splash page on our site that forces visitors to agree with our terms of service.
THE GOAL:
Put a Splash Page into place without actually replacing the existing [login to view URL] page, while still maintaining the [login to view URL]'s current PR and the top SE Rankings being achieved by it.
The splash page only appears when a user visits www.companyname.com. It will not appear if a user visits any other internal page of the site
This can probably be accomplished with either a javascript or with php. We would like a solution that allows user-agents like google to pass through so that it can easily get to our warning page without needing a cookie.
This domain does have existing cookies for our forum which is built on Vbulletin. So this will need to work independently of that cookie and not interfere with it.
