A church wishes to allow unaccompanied visitors to select one of three short projected videos via a touchscreen-enabled pc running Vista.
Therefore, a simple 'kiosk' interface is needed, that locks down an unattended public access pc, allowing any or all of the videos to be run as required. The videos have not been finished yet, so dummy ones will be used for now.
The short films/presentations can be on the hard drive as video files (any format?) or from a custom DVD if preferred - although visitors mustn't be able to eject the DVD without a password etc.
The project therefore is to either get advice as to suitable existing applications that can achieve this elegantly and professionally, or to commission a suitable interface, perhaps via a locked down browser, or media player interface.
## Deliverables
A simple and very reliable interface is key here, and any suggestions or solutions are invited. Just the choice of videos, which once selected, play to the end and then return to the selection interface. They can also be interrupted or paused as required.
No point in reinventing the wheel if something commercial/open source/shareware is available, or if existing software/coding can be reworked legally.
