Team,
I am looking for an excellent coder to write me a program that will generate reports base on information from a DBF file. I have a program that I wrote in VB based on Rockwell Automation technology. My program connects to industrial machines and read data about speed, stoppage time and other errors. My software is very flexible and I modify it for each client specifically. Therefore I need some generic mechanism that will build reports like Downtime report, or Job summary reports, etc…)
To elaborate forward here is exactly what I am looking for. I have a real time application that collects information from a industrial machine, it could be Printing Press or any other machine that produces goods. My application records this information into a DBF file which updates every minute. I would like that information from a dbf file to record into a database and from the database I would like to be able to generate reports. I need the database to be updated every 30 minutes with new information from the DBF file. Now each system that we install might have different information tags (columns) there for the database should be generic and should be established upon installation of the system at clients site. It could be Access database or any other database that dose not require a server to operate.
For summary: Developer need to build generic database that will populate its self base on the DBF file and than to update the database automatically from the DBF file every 30 minutes. And finally it should also be able to generate reports from simple user interface, for example if I click on “Downtime report?? it will show me the downtime report if I click on Production Per Shift it will show me production per shit… etc…
I need someone with very strong knowledge in reports and database
