At bottom is the specific script request. First a description of the problem:
Jollom is an anti spam system that checks any form submission data first through a database and content analysis and if needed will handle a captcha barrier to stop 99% of spam. I've tried it and it works.
Mollom is free and very efficient to stop spam without bothering most users with a captcha, just as Joomla developers want. Jollom is the gpl implementation of Mollom for Joomla sites.
I recently installed the Jollom plugin and it works fine out of the box for the Joomla contact form. You simply activate that feature in the plugin configuration in the backend. Also, with existing scripts, it works for a few additional user input forms. I've got the sobi2 script working. Existing scripts are simply copied into a script box in the Jollom plugin configuration.
Like others, I get a lot of spam / bot false user registrations. My main objetive when installing Jollom was to block fake new user registrations on my Joomla site.
I've been trying to write a script for Jollom to use in my Joomla site for new user registrations. I'm useless at php and can't figure out the Jollom script.
All that is needed are:
- The component, starting with "com_"
- The trigger or triggers required. (For example submitTrigger: task=save/controller,entry;)
- The corresponding field names / variables.
(I've tried looking at the source code when in the new user registration form and copying the variable names there but it did not work.)
Here's an example Jollom script (for Easy Guestbook entries):
com_easybook {
submitTrigger: task=save/controller,entry;
subjectName: null;
bodyName: gbtext;
authorNameName: gbname;
authorUrlName: gbpage;
authorEmailName: gbmail;
authorOpenIdName: null;
authorIdName: null;
formMethod: post;
indexFile: [login to view URL];
blockQualityBelow: 0.3;
}
As I understand it, what the Jollom plugin does is pass form input information for the Mollom server to check out, before accepting the form data. When needed, it prompts the user with a captcha. Mollom then sends back to the Jollom plugin a response indicating if the form data is "Ham" or "Spam". The Jollom plugin then either lets the form processing continue or cancels it.
I need a script like the example above but for the Joomla new user registration form. I have Joomla 1.5
Hope someone here can help on this for a moderate fee.
