Simply proxy server in C

I am looking for a simple proxy server written in C. It can be a modification of OpenSource software, but must contain only the requested settings, as the server will be released for public download to support a java program we offer. I have a current working proxy server that hangs after 4 connections, and dies after a few days running. I am looking for a similiar source that allows for maximum number of connections, is able to set the port to listen on (in the code, not on command line) and supports whatever style of threading is needed to handle multiple connections. The current proxy server being used for our java telnet client can be downloaded from: [login to view URL] Requirements: * allows connections only if the same host/port is located in a flat-text file. * the flat-text file containing host/port access should be read upon every connection attempt..rather than just at proxy startup (this way the list can be updated daily without having to restart the proxy) * format that the proxy reads is: MagicApplet:host:port:MagicApplet You can read the current proxy source code for details. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
