Good morning, Based on the requirements outlined in your document, this project is going to require a good deal of time and effort. I have entered a place-holder bid, which I can adjust up or down once we have discussed the requirements in more detail. One item that is missing from the requirement document is how we are getting the bus schedule information. Is there a third-party system involved with an API that we use to get schedule data and setup a trip? Or, is the bus scheduling another piece we need to develop. If it is the latter, then the price will go up. Regarding the fault-tolerance, I would recommend using two Linux servers running MySQL in Master-Master replication mode. That way the database is automatically replicated and the application can continue running with one server if the other one fails. We can put something in place that monitors the servers, but the failover between the two boxes would be automatic if the server application fails.
