Develop Script to make VirtualBox Send a shutdown signal when logging out of the Mac Host

Whenever we logout of our mac, or whenever the mac tries to logout due to inactivity, a program that aw almost always have in use called Virtualbox halts the shutdown process. It always brings up a prompt asking us to "Send the shutdown signal". Virtual box ordinarily will ask you wehther you want to "save the machine state", "Send the shutdown signal" or "power off the machine", but i've been able to configure it to only have 1 item in that menu-"Send the shutdown signal". However, what we need is for the shutdown signal to automatically occur when logging out of the mac due to inactivity.

Hello, I should be able to script this to automatically send the shutdown signal to virtualbox via the command line. Please let me know your OSX version number and the virtual box machine name that you need to shutdown. What I intend to do is replicate the environment on my machine and then send you a short easy to use guide including screenshots explaining how to install the shutdown script and have it run whenever the Mac shuts down or logs off.
