The training manual is written in Word and has many screenshots. I need someone to help me to look the manual more professional and polished. Also, the Table of Contents needs to be set up properly (headings and subheadings) because the page numbers keep changing as I make modifications to the document. The designer does not have to be over the top but I need to present a better document to my contractor.

Hi. Your Table of Content, I can streamline it so everything is automatic. It will automatically change both text and page number of each heading and subheading if you change them however It does require me to create a template for your manual and apply it to each one of your heading and subheadings (this is the hard part since your manual was made without a template). Regarding the images, right now you don't have the best text flow with those images. I can improve that specially on vertical images. I can put in more work like resizing all the images (currently image's white margins have not been considered so even though the images' frame width are made the same size but the actual images differ in size to one another), creating arrows to connect the points to the corresponding part in the images but then I have to increase the budget. You've got almost 100 pages and it's a lot of work. In terms of experience, I'm a document designer and my main job was creating manuals for a car manufacturing company (+500 pages) but I also design eBooks, Reports and White Papers. When it comes to graphical works I ain't no spring chicken, You can see some of my work in my portfolio ( https://www.freelancer.com/u/Marzia87 ). Hi there! I’m Deborah, and I’d be delighted to make your Training Manual more professional and polished, and with a properly functioning Contents so it is easily usable. The manual needs to be easy for an operator to use in three ways: • during training, • routinely on a daily work basis, • as a reference for finding out about a particular process I am an educated English native-speaker with high level English skills plus a background in documents containing a mixture of Word + graphics. I understand the nuances of the English language intimately (i.e. for the text), and also how important the layout and look of a page is (i.e. for the screenshots). I am proposing 6 days for this so there is time for us to Chat via Freelancer, as well as for me to edit/proofread the text + deal with the layout issues.
