A plug-in that will display a simple toolbar within Firefox. For each website the user visits, the entire HTML of that page will be sent to a remote web service. In the response to this web service call, a small dataset will be returned. The dataset will comprise a list of URLs along with a piece of text for each URL.
The toolbar should then render a set of buttons - one for each URL. The label for each button should be the narrative text supplied, and when clicked the button should open the required URL in a new browser window.
You will be provided with an endpoint for a prototype web service that you can use for this development.
The code should be well structured, extensible, and documented (in the form of commenting at class/method level - and intra-method where appropriate).
A "project initiation document" will be supplied to the winning bidder. This will show mock-ups of how the toolbar should look, and provide details (URLs and port signatures) for the associated web service.
Hello,
I have experience developing Firefox and Google chrome extensions. And I have worked with web services. And I'm interested into doing this work.
Thanks,
John
