Hello I am working in IT industry for more than 17+ years. I worked in MySQL, MongoDB, PostGre, Neo4j, Cassandra, Oracle, Vetrtica, DB2 in my IT career. Have worked in PHP scripting, Unix Shells (c shell, bash korn), Perl and Python. Have worked in Servlet, JSP, PHP, HTML/5, Bootstrap CSS, Angular 1-7, ReactJS, jQuery. Also worked in various Linux and Unix including IBM AIX, Sun/Solarix, Digital Unix, IRIX with System administration. Have Bigdata/Hadoop exposure for several years as well. Hi, we already migrated database from SQL Server and ORacle ro PostgreSQL. The last migration was about a db with 430 table and almost 4000 stored procedures. I performed the following database related jobs: - CargoMax Logistics Software Project (PostgreSQL) - Oracle Financials (Oracle EBS) Project - Cognos BI project (MSSQL) - Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) Project - Siber Logistics Software Project (MSSQL) For the above projects: - I performed data cleansing. - I wrote queries running automatically and sending alert messages to users automatically. - I wrote Oracle packages to send automatic emails (Arrival Notice messages, Cargo Spec messages, Invoices, Reconciliation Letters) to customers at predefined time intervals. - I developed reports or enhanced performance of queries in the reports using Oracle Reports, Oracle BI reports, Oracle SQL, Stored Procedures/Functions, and packages. For a financial institution where reports were written in VBA with Oracle Database behind, I did performance improvement for many SQL queries in the reports I acted as project manager for Cognos BI project. Hi, I Would like to work for you on oracle to. Postgresql migration. I have read the details shared by you and got very clear understanding of the requirements. I have recently migrated oracle 10g to postgresql and that includes conversion of views,functions, procedure and mapping of data a types of columns as well. We created some dotnet programs to check the data quality and match all record of table and each column of oracle and postgresql. Once we achieve 100% match then it's a successful migration and we can assure customers to have exactly same data as the were accessing from oracle. We used dbconvert tool to copy entire schema from oracle to postgresql. Licence version was provided by client. We used Dbever as database IDE,which supports all database connectivity and can copy tables from oracle to postgresql as well. Postgresql also provides dB link to communicate between two databases. Postgresql has some limitations and does not support autonomous commit. We can use dB link to achieve this. I am expertise mysql, mssql, plsql and postgresql with 7 plus years of experience in IT. I can start working on this right away and and can also play a tech lead role and help other team member to achieve the migration completion. Let me know of you need more information from my end.
