comparison tool: The task to compare two CSV or XLS or XLSX files and find differences from both files, below are the scenarios which have to be addressed. 1. Each file will have 150 columns and 5 million records of data. 2. trim leading spaces in the columns [Column Names and Data] before comparing. 3. Columns Compare 1. if any columns are missing in any of the files don't compare. 2. if columns are not in order[Jumbbled], the comparison still has to be performed. 4. Row Compare 1. Find duplicates in each file and highlight duplicates 2. Find Missing row's in each table 3. rows will be randomly placed in a file 5. No primary keys or unique id for the given data. 6. performance has to be considered in implementation. expected output: 1. Columns missing throw error. 2. Rows Compare 1. prepare the difference table by tagging the reason as duplicate or missing the record in the respective file. Note: This will be One Milestone project, should be completed in 5 days. Uploaded the sample scenarios in excel for reference.

Hi, Greetings of the day.... Your excel comparison work seems really interesting. I would love to do it. More than money, its the work that is exciting me. Im a programmer by profession who plays in excel day in and out with macros. If deal goes through, this would be my first work on freelancer ( This you can count as risk. But if i have the courage to say so, you can gauge my confidence in my skills) Some more information that would be required to do the work like: if there is no primary key in record, then do you mean row duplication to be checked by comparing all columns Are the no of columns going to be fixed or each comparison set, or will have different no of columns per set Data may have texts also, would you like to compare texts irrespective of upper/lower case or otherwise Template file provided was very good.
