This project is for seeding a new, empty wiki site with content. The content will be from an e-book I will provide, and you will be required to structure the content from the book into smaller articles as suitable for a wiki.
This is more than a copy-cut-paste job, you will be expected to select and create multiple articles out of the topics dealt with in each chapter of the supplied e-book, and structure the article into the form and format generally used in a wikipedia article, including simplifying, editing, leaving out or rewriting any bits as necessary. You will then log into the wiki and post the articles with formatting. No images or graphics need to be posted.
The source e-book is 350+ pages and 180000+ words. The table of contents from the book is attached, and I expect you to create approximately 300+ articles from the book. You will be sent the complete e-book in PDF and MS Word format after the project is awarded.
Prior experience with creating and editing articles on wikipedia is expected. Apart from the content supplied to you in the form of the e-book, you will also create any supplementary pages usually found in any wiki, for example a main page, FAQ, rules etc. Please include in your proposal/bid, an idea of which such meta pages you will create, based on your prior experience with wikis.
I have installed the wikimedia software on my website, and you will use the public wiki interface on my site to create, edit and post the articles using multiple accounts. I will provide a list of names to create accounts with, and you should intermittently vary the user account you are posting from, so the articles seem authentic and not seeded. I can provide you with a list of usernames if desired.
Although I have mentioned 'wikipedia' multiple times above, the wiki software is installed on my website and in this project you will not be actually posting to [login to view URL], but my own niche hosted wiki.
The content is Indian in origin, so providers from the Indian subcontinent (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and neighbouring countries) or having familiarity with Indian content will be preferred since it will be simpler to read and edit the content.
