I have an ASP.Net site that has two ASP.Net "roles". One is a "free" or trial use "role", the other is a "paid" or subscriber role. I need to add a PayPal "Subscribe" button to a page on the site. Then, the user pays the subscription fee via PayPal, and is then routed back to my site. At the point of being routed back to my site, the user of course becomes a paid subscriber, so must automatically (this is the challenging part, it seems) change roles from "free" to "paid". Should be simple for a PayPal expert, which I'm not. Also - PayPal's buttons are not designed with ASP.Net in mind - you must be familiar with this issue or please don't bid (sorry!) Thanks for reading and have a good day.

I was completed equal tasks for my previous customers. So i can do it for you - redirect to PP from your site (subscribe-button), and implement 2 components:
- IPN handler (catch transaction notification, validate transaction info, update role to paid if TX is OK)
- return page. User can return to this page after payment. This page also need TX validation and role update (if ones not updated by IPN handler earlier)
It's a simple stuff. Set the return URL to an ASP script which will modify your recorded role from free to paid member. But, sometimes there is a fake request for trying to direct access your returned url. So, then you should add a validation process by checking if the transaction from paypal success or not, then do the modification of rule. Pretty simple.
