Pay per click gifts directory

The project consists of developing some essential parts of a site called GoCadeaux.com. 70% of this site has already been developed based on an ASP/MySQL script designed for a classified advertisement site. [login to view URL] shares many of the same aims and functionalities as the [login to view URL] or [login to view URL] sites. The site is a « search directory » of gifts, which enables the user to pull up a list of gifts suited to the person to whom he wishes to give a present, having initially entered a certain number of search criteria about that person. The gifts presented on the site are products that vendors sell on-line on their own sites, GoCadeaux.com. IS NOT AN ON-LINE SALES SITE, it re-directs users to the sites of on-line vendors. In order to display their products on the site, the vendors have to be registered and must enter their products (1 by 1 or by bulk upload). The system of payment used by GoCadeaux.com. is the « PAY PER CLICK » system. Each time a user clicks on a gift and is then sent to a vendor’s site, that vendor is charged a fixed sum which is deducted from his credit. There are 10 main functions to be developed : 1- The total re-design of the site’s pages (about 30 pages), logo creation, icon creation…, The site is already based on a template system (style sheets CSS) 2- Total development of the site’s « Pay Per Click » system. Setting up of URL tracking, sending users to vendor sites, filtering out false clicks, recording the number of clicks, the number of displays, click invoicing and debiting of vendor accounts...It is not a complex auction system, the price of the click is fixed. 3- Adaptation of the pages (5 pages) that present the gifts to users (products classed by popularity, design etc.), inclusion of tags for tracking clicks in the different URLs of the products presented. 4- Total modification of the gift search system (2 pages), the search form being managed in a way that prevents impossible combinations from being selected and producing negative results. To make this function work, javascript will need to be used a great deal and/or work carried out at database level and/or "remote scripting" used. 5- Creation of a bulk upload function for products so that vendors can upload .csv or .txt. file types. 6- Creation of a function enabling vendors to limit the number of clicks they are prepared to be invoiced for each month. 7- Creation of a function that will enable vendors to display statistical information about their products (number of displays, clicks, cost…) specifying a particular time period (start/end date, by month, by day, by week…) and creation of a csv file. 8- Alteration of the administrator’s product modification page (one page), the additional classification information form being automatically managed in a way that prevents impossible combinations (see point 4 above). The creation of this function will require intensive use of javascript. 9- Administration of the « pay per click »system, allowing the « cost per click » to be modified (where the “cost” is the price that vendors pay for each click) 10- Creation of a click log page for all the products presented on the site that can be used by the administrator. This is a brief outline of the work to be carried out, the DEVELOPER WILL RECEIVE A DETAILED SPÉCIFICATION (around 40 pages) explaining in detail these developments. A- Before applying, in order to grasp the spirit of the site and the work to be done, developers must register on [login to view URL] as a vendor and must have used all the functionalities of the site, both as a vendor and as a user, as this site will serve as the basis for the developments. Note : the site is aimed at a French market, It will be translated from English once the developments have been made. B- The project requires a good knowledge of ASP, MySQL, Javascript and good design skills in order to provide quality graphics (a world of celebration, gifts, luxury, a feminine touch…) this is an essential part of the project. If the developer has already worked on Pay Per Click systems he will have the advantage. C- PLEASE INCLUDE EXAMPLES OF YOUR PREVIOUS WORK WITH YOUR BID ! Developers who have not worked on similar projects (e-commerce sites, auction sites…) or who cannot prove that they have should not apply. D- The aim is to have the entire project completed in a time period of 6 weeks, by which time a fully functional version of the site should be provided. The first elements to supply will be design proposals containing 4 different choices. E- Full payment will be made at the end of the project once the site is up and running on our test and production server after a test period of 7 days. F- The developer will guarantee free de-bugging of his developments during the 3 weeks that follow the launch of the site on our test and production server.
