Prototype AR companion

I want to build a prototype augmented reality Android app. The main function of the app is to be a diary or journal that the user will record by speaking and the app will record both the audio and convert the speech to text. The entries will be kept by date and searchable. The differentiating feature is that the user will interact with an on-screen character that they "talk" to (as a start maybe something like this [login to view URL]!/content/25107). The very first version could be non-augmented reality as a test, but I think being AR will add a novel feel to the app, and the user won't feel like they are talking to a game but to a character in their own world. The initial target user is teenagers, probably girls, so the novelty is important, as is making the character customizeable. But it shouldn't be too childish, it should feel like an app that is professional and will help you improve your life. So you can see the roadmap, a major goal for a future version is integrating something like Microsoft's emotion recognition. This, combined with some kind of tool that parses the text looking for keywords related to emotion can be combined to track the users emotional state. This could be shown in various ways so the user can see graphically how their mood shifts over time, as well as get some kind of warnings if they appear to be depressed or even suicidal. If the user combines it with data from a health or sleep tracker it could give even more info.
