Java Application Built but having issues with deployment. f I create a linux instance on aws, give myself ssh access, log on via ssh, install tomcat, sftp the .war application package, and deploy to the tomcat webapps folder; the application deploys and I can reach the app front-end at that instance's url. That's all cool, but all the front-end api calls to the application back end get 404s and it seems like the back-end is not running. I can't see any issue in the logs so after much investigation moved back to the other recommended deployment approach which is... ...to use Elastic Beanstalk to set up an instance with tomcat installed and deploy through the aws gui during setup. When I do this I get an error in the logs relating to ElasticSearch. I figured out that ElasticSearch is attempting to access an area as a user without the correct permissions. I grant access to this area and then redeploy the .war. It looks as though everything is working fine but I get either a deployment loop in the logs, showing no error (just the regular build and deploy logging, only looping), or I get an error in the elastic beanstalk front-end saying the version number is incorrect - which makes no sense as I've tried deploying the same version number, or the next increment.
