Write a reflective commentary

You need to write reflective commentary which covers the following: 1. To write how topics like Systems analysis & design, Overview of E-business, The systems development life cycle, The business organisation as a system, Introduction to databases and similar relate to the assignment and why. Assignment - A group task which involves the development of a prototype database based on the scenario by using Microsoft Access 2010. (You don't need to do the assignment. You need to explain how these topics relate to the assignment). 2. How your understanding of specific topics has helped you to complete the assignment 3. What you have learnt from working in a group for this assignment. (write some good point and a bad on) 4. The commentary should be 1000-1500 words and be clearly laid out with headings and well presented. The word count must be given at the end of the commentary. The Assignment scenario which will helps with 1 part of the reflective cometary. Mrs Dove set up the dating agency Love Doves with her late husband in 2000, and has been running it on her own since his untimely death in 2005. They started the agency because they had a number of friends and acquaintances who were divorced or widowed and who were having difficulty meeting new people or potential partners. Mrs Dove had always enjoyed matchmaking and started doing this on a casual basis for their friends and acquaintances. She found she was very good at it and so when Mr Dove was made redundant they decided this would be a worthwhile business to go into – they could help other people to hopefully find the happiness that they shared in their marriage and make enough money to keep them going until they retired. Although Mrs Dove could now retire, she enjoys the work that she does and it has kept her going since her husband died. Mrs Dove employs two staff full-time to help with administrative and accounting tasks, while she concentrates on interviewing new clients and identifying possible clients who would be suitable matches, and then arranging meetings. She believes in providing a personal and high quality service, which is why she likes to arrange initial meetings so that clients feel more secure. She also encourages clients to let her know how the meetings go and has been invited to several weddings over the last few years! Mrs Dove has found that over the last few years demand for the service she provides has increased to the extent that she now feels she needs some additional help. She has considered employing someone to help with the clients, but part of the reason people come to her is the personal service she provides and also her success rate. She has now decided that perhaps it would be better to consider computerisation. She feels that if the client data is stored on a database then it would enable her to produce short lists of potential matches and then she could use her experience to determine which would be the best matches. A considerable amount of personal data is held about clients and it is becoming increasingly difficult for her to remember everyone. It may also make it easier for her to keep track of which clients have met and when. This will help her to keep track of active clients and identify those she has not seen for some time and help her to follow up on those inactive clients. Clients pay a joining fee, an annual subscription and also a small fee for each meeting that is arranged. Assignment Brief You have been asked to develop a small prototype system for Mrs Dove so that she is better able to consider whether or not she would like to have a fully operational system developed. With the above information and requirements in mind, the E-R Diagram and prototype system will just concentrate on the areas of client and meeting management. The area of fee handling/customer accounts is to be ignored as it is beyond the scope of the prototype.
