Have a spreadsheet of users with demographic/physical attributes data and I want to determine if any of these factors can be used to predict product preferrence. Secondly, Would like to cluster our users into groups based on several attributes ( about 7) This could be with the K-Means or hierachical ladder approach. Sample size of 500. This should be a pretty simple exercise as for us right now, its a highly theoretical exercise to prove a business plan idea. Looking for this to be done in excel at this point. As I want to keep it exteremly simple. Also looking for someone who has a teaching/training orientation, as I would like to also understand the steps that you took to arrive at your answer.

As my profile indicates, my entire background has been in Statistics and working with statistical softwares. In order to achieve statistical calculations, I have been using R, Matlab and SPSS from last few years.I have finished a master degree in statistics from Lund University, Sweden. Previously, I have another master degree in statistics from University of Punjab, Lahore Pakistan and studied some courses in biostatistics and financial mathematics such as Design and analysis of clinical trials, Statistical inference, Bayesian Methods, finanicial economics, financial mathematics and financial statistics from Stockholm University, Lund University and KTH, Sweden.
