Currently, I have a online text based wrestling game. It is programme din CGI/Perl with log files, no databases. I am in need of the current game version to be reprogrammed into a database driven game. I have been told the best way to do this is to have it running PHP with MySQL database. We need a set of CGI programs that allow us to password-enable areas of a website. What we need is that 1) The login page is a HTML page we can design, NOT the standard .htpasswd grey box. Same for the "wrong password, please get a password" page 2) relative links (e.g. in HTML pages) between protected pages work without the need to recode all of them. i.e., if /some/directory/ has a link href="", that links to /some/directory/, we do not need to re-code the link in order to make it work in the password-protected environment.
