The system also provides a robust log of stages in the lifecycle of a document. „h Domino.Doc Customization. Domino.Doc a product of Lotus provides a comprehensive Document Management System. To increase the usability, productivity and enhance the system with additional functionalities, an application using the ODMA (Open Document Management API) client was developed. This customization was enriched with extensive search facilities, report generation and other background processing. An intensive functionality integrating lotus notes and Domino.doc provides automation of email generation with hyperlinks of documents, to decrease the overhead. „h Document Management System for Reliance Retail Outlet Construction Project: Reliance Retail Outlet Project required Centralized Document Management System catering for Construction Sites located on geographically various locations of India. An Intranet website implementing the above requisite was developed and maintained. The site publishes final approved documents for the end users to download and carry out the construction. „h Migration from MS-Access to Oracle: All the Applications accessed a centralized repository using the traditional file-based system (MS-Access). As the System grew consuming different functionalities serving different projects, the existing file-based system retarded the efficiency. Complete system was migrated to client-server technology with oracle in the backend, after successive data modeling. The new system has better reliability, data protection, faster query processing and durable transactions. The transition was also proposed to act as stepping-stone for further expansions, like web-based applications. An application for querying and generating reports of the available documents was developed. The application provides a simple interface and database connectivity is established using ADO. „h Development Of Helicopter Drawings Management System The Design Department produces large amount of drawings varying from A4 size to A0 size, identified using a unique ATA numbering system, using this a complete application for management of the drawings was developed. The application Integrates the development of the drawings using Auto-CAD, Printing the CAD drawings, Storing the drawings in the image files by scanning them using large drum scanners and finally providing reports for managerial information. „h Management Information System The Complete Management Information System data was collected and stored in the form of CD-ROMs. In order to provide a quick retrieval of information an installable application using VB was developed. The retrieved information was then reported using VB reports. „h Bench Marking Activities Actively taken part in the Benchmarking activities of RWR&DC, HAL.
