Work Experience
• Sr. Systems Engineer – Citrix Application delivery solutions
• Managing multiple CITRIX farms (XenApp 4.5). Farms include over 200 presentation servers, over 2000 published resources, over 10,000 configured users with over 1,000 con-current users
• Planning migration to XenApp 5 OR XenApp 6. Decision has not been taken yet, but XenApp 5, development farm has been implemented for testing
• Implemented CITRIX EdgeSight 5.2 for Farm and application performance monitoring and troubleshooting
• Implemented RSA two factor authentication, using RSA SecureID devices (primary and Secondary). Supporting user related login issues with PIN only mode, RSA Token Keyfob and RSA Soft Token for iPhone.
• Implemented SSoN (Single Sign-on) for Web Interface, so that a domain user does not need to login to the Web Interface and can also launch the published apps using the client logon credentials.
• Planned and Implemented a set Citrix Servers to support an offshore team of over 100 developers who are using development tools like Visual Studio, JDeveloper, Expressions, etc. (over 50 different development tools) this is a specialized environment with specific needs for developers. This involves roaming profiles, file servers to check-in and check-out the codes as well as Citrix Terminal servers to deliver the tools to offshore developers sitting in India. I have planned, implemented and now supporting this environment single-handedly.
• Supporting Citrix Password Manager for single sign-on to the various enterprise level applications
• Work closely with the virtual infrastructure support team, supporting VMWare ESX Server in the data center. 80% of Citrix servers are virtualized
• Support Administration for over 1600 Windows 2000/2003/2008 based Servers, running as Physical OR on VMWare ESX Environment, spread across the Data Centers
• Work closely with Application support teams to resolve specific application related issues
• Currently researching the roll-out for Desktop Virtualization solution, using Citrix XenServer & XenDesktop
• Experience with using Unisys Peregrin for helpdesk tickets. Company now moved to Remedy ticketing system from HCL Ltd.
