BOUF.com - responsive product design, build, UX/UI design
BOUF is a curated marketplace offering design-led homeware & gifts. I was Creative Director at BOUF from conception to its acquisition in 2015 by European media company, Sanoma. I designed the marketplace technology from scratch, produced all wireframes, optimized user journeys, designed the UI and UX and coded the frontend. I led the merchandizing team, attending trade shows, hitting the phones and aggressively recruiting Sellers in an attempt to become the number one destination for design-led goods. In our daily efforts to grow conversion rates, I produced a number of new ways for users to get to their most suitable products, faster. One of these ways was an intuitive GiftFinder system which would prompt users with a number of questions: (a) Who are you shopping for? (b) What are they into (c) Whats the occasion, and so on. This was well received and helped us to double our growth in the holiday season.
