Interior Designer

Based in Malta, Mattea started interior designing at the tender age of 18, working with architects in the development stage to finalizing homes to include the finest details. Eager to work on any kind of project, Mattea's enthusiasm has lead her to work in homes which range from 1 bedroom apartments, to 9 bedroom villas. Throughout the years she has grasped what is needed for a house to become a home; what it means to create impact and how to deliver it in a space which flows.

In this room, the aim was for the space to feel inviting and creative. The client wanted to display their guitars and have a space where they can relax and create.

Sitting Area

This Living & Dining forms part of a beautiful penthouse overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The client wanted to focus on this space and create a timeless space which pays homage to their classical style but also keeping things fresh. The space opens to an infinity pool and deck area which is the next space the client wishes to tackle.

Penthouse Living & Dining

A past project of mine which included this bathroom. The client wished for a simple statement and to give the essence of a hotel feel at home. This bathroom is also part of a building which was built in the 1960's; the geometric lines and bold colour on the wall are an homage to those times.

My experience officially started in 2018 when my first project included a 3 bedroom apartment. Here I worked hand in hand with the architect to design, not only the client's apartment, but also the entire building. Several years later and my career has thankfully lead to other projects, for example a cliff side apartment overlooking the Maltese countryside and blue seas and a 9 bedroom villa which includes 2 pools, a cinema room, games room as well 4 kitchens at different levels.
