Quantitative Scanning Microwave Microscopy of Few-layer Platinum Diselenide

European Microwave Week 2020
In this work, Scanning Microwave Microscopy is used to characterize a few layers of Platinum Diselenide material.

Electrical Properties of Jurkat cells: an inverted scanning microwave microscope study

IEEE MTT-S Int. Microwave Symp. (IMS)
In this work, an innovative Scanning Microwave Microscope (SMM) called inverted SMM (iSMM) characterizes biological samples, in particular Jurkat cells. The complex local admittance of a single cell is extracted and the dielectric constant is estimated to be around 2.6 ± 0.3. Thus, the first quantitative characterization of iSMM operating in reflection mode is reported, as well as the first electrical characterization of Jurkat cells by this tool.

Inverted SMM for nanometer scale imaging and charact. of platinum diselenide

IEEE MTT-S Int. Microwave Symp. (IMS)
In this work, the imaging capabilities of an innovative scanning microwave microscope and the analysis of the electrical properties of platinum diselenide are demonstrated.

Broadband scanning microwave microscopy of a biol. cell with unprecedented image quality and SNR

IEEE MTT-S Int. Microwave Symp. (IMS)
A broadband scanning microwave microscope (SMM) was developed by modifying both the hardware and software of a narrowband commercial SMM. Using the broadband SMM, images of a Jurkat human lymphocyte cell were acquired over 128×128 pixels at 201 frequencies from 1 GHz to 9 GHz, all in 20 min, with unprecedented image quality and signal-to-noise ratio. The broadband SMM can enable microwave spectroscopy and 3D tomography of intracellular structures of a live cell.

Imaging of sub-cellular structures and organelles by an STM-assisted SMM at mm-waves

IEEE MTT-S Int. Microwave Symp. (IMS)
In this work, we used our homemade scanning micro-wave microscope to demonstrate the imaging and characterization of isolated mitochondria in the frequency range 28‒33 GHz.

Blisters on graphite surface: a scanning microwave microscopy investigation

RSC Advances
In this work, a Scanning Microwave Microscope is used to characterize blisters formed on the HOPG surface provides information on the sub-layer structures.

Quantitative Scanning Microwave Microscopy of the Evolution of a Live Bio. Cell in a Physiol. Buffer

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques
This article reports the first quantitative characterization by scanning microwave microscopy (SMM) of a live cell in its physiological buffer.

Inverted scanning microwave microscope for in vitro imaging and characterization of biological cells

Applied Physics Letters
This paper presents an instrument called an inverted scanning microwave microscope (iSMM), which is capable of performing noninvasive and label-free imaging and characterization of intracellular structures of a live cell on the nanometer scale.
