I have a .bat file that parses mp3 filenames, parses them into 2 variables, then outputs XML.
The problem is that some of these filenames have accent marks - which need to be there for the CDATA part of my XML, but need to be changed back to the letter with no accent mark for the mp3 names.
What I need:
1- the ability to convert certain letters before outputting the variable to XML - for example
é to e
í to i
etc (the full list is á é í ó ú ñ) -
I'd like the case preserved as my bat ouputs both uppercase and lowercase
2- the ability to remove delimiters such as - or @ before outputting the variable to XML - so for example, the string para-bailar would be come
para bailiar
A sample of one of my bats is attached
