I have had a site built but it remains unfinished after 8months with problems on things like search, Logic tells me it should of been built off of a central accounting programme due to the operation and backend options currently not available, I would like a quote for the entire job and a quote brokendown into two sections being everything under the side which is directory related and then an online auction. I am attaching the original job requirement lists I gave the original developer who has run over budget and still hasnt completed as per my list, site is [url removed, login to view] If ypu are able to grab or copy all the info that is there and then build the backend off what we already have that is great but we dont have any codes or anything to work on and the info that is already there is only as you see it on the site
This site is meant to be a directory site with online auction features and the directory split into a discount directory a job find directory a home find directory. Unlike trademe and all the others we want to charge people to be registered because we have a loyalty gold card that we send out to members and a discount directory as well.. We want to have a bonus account system where people are rewarded for buying items of through our auction and we need a competitions list page with links running through to aninfo page that they can click enter which sends us an email re which comp and the persons membership number. There are two types of registration there is personal and company. With the company registrations for the discount directory side I need them to go to an area so I can check out the company before we accept them, because we look after a number of people we told would be exclusive. We have offered everyone free advertising for the year because we have been waiting over half the year for the site w2hich is still not really in exisstance
The concept behind Tradeways is an online auction site with advantages. All members will be charged $245 per year for their Tradeways Loyalty Plus membership. They receive a personalised TWLP gold card that they can use to obtain stipulated discounts or better service deals if they shop with supporting companies weather it be online or through their physical store, so we are covering everyones spending needs from purchasing cars through to buying a pie and a cake for lunch. Members get benefits from Tradeways even when they step away from their computer. I always liked the Trade & Exchange, have never seen it online because I tried to look and I had to subscribe I should of had a look but it doesn't really make any difference what it looks like because basically I like the concept that it is a classified set up and anyone can advertise what they are selling at a fixed price and the mono that meant negotiation is on, I also walked through the markets and see how people like to barter and alot of people expect to when they are at a market especially foreigners for them bartering is a way of life not so much here in New Zealand that is why our card sounds fantastic when we say that it can save the average family between $2500 and $3500 per year off their purchases. We have just pre bartered with the companies on the condition they client spends with them in the discount directory but the relates to the discount and only has companies. So the next section is The Market which is almost identical to the online auction only it is a fixed price or an mono. The ads are up for a week and give the sellers contact details like Trade & Exchange phone or email address. There is also a heading I want called Job Hunt which covers situations wanted/vacant.. A Home Hunt section that covers both to let, wanted to let, Sale. For the Home Hunt and The market they should be able to have the option of paying for a info icon through to a page of info that like the personal company page in the discount directory so they can load up graphics. We also need a competition page that lists the competitions we are running which gives people options to register to win online and also have an area where they can see previous winners.
I want to encourage people to buy on the online auctions through a bonus credit account where every time they make ten purchases they receive an account credit of $1 that they can use to bid on our special Tradeways monthly auctions where we auction off gift vouchers from companies. They also go into the draw to win a weeks worth of trading eg no fees loading or success fees.
I think I have covered everything although tomorrow after some sleep I will probably read over this and see that I have written my explaination in a way no one but me can understand. The reason I want to charge $245 for memberships with payment options is because there is a company called cherry tree that does cheap products straight through the manufacturers and they charge near $500. So I know people will pay that sort of money for a membership that is going to give them safer trading because we hold more info on a person than other auction sites and dodges are less likely to come across from sites like Trademe because of the cost they cant just ripp a bunch of people and reapper as another login .or be loaded up as 10 different people. In a perfect world It would also reduce the amount of people who have a number of registrations they use to pump up their auction price
I also want a heading like whats hot but that will have to wait because I think it will be expensive but each week we have a look at a product a shop a competition with a bit of a video clip thing on it. That would be really good for Hotel Chains, Or big companies because ulitimatly I would want it like a small crew going in with a presenter someone young and funky to give everyone the rundown, well it might fly
If someone was to ask what I want the site to look like I would say as long as it looks professional, we use gold for the Tradeways Loyalty Plus ( I think Shane did a fantastic job with his colour gold}we have a hand holding the card I want a yellow strip with the name of the company similar kind of to yellow pages but simple icons for info taking them through to clients who pay to have their own info page which they can have all their info like what UBD does
for those that pay for a link to their website a web icon and those that pay for an email link an email icon. I also want an icon that comes up for if someone has listed a limited offer so people going through the discount directory can measly identify a special offer. All listings with web and email and limited offers or info page icons and links need to appear in a priority order at the top of the page. Also I think there should be a heading for Recent and have a scroll list that months new companies which is an added bonus for all companies joining as a supporting company. I want to charge the following to companies joining through the site Free standard listing for a standard listing in onsite,. $35 per month for info page but this one incurs a one off upload and registration fee of $75 and fixed term of , $30 per month web link, $25 per month email link. Or a combined package of $65.
Print Advertising, Directory Advertisng, Print Media, Promotion, Fundraising, needs to be done through the office really at this stage because we haven't really worked that one out yet
