Assignment aims

To demonstrate by practical solution the assimilation and synthesis of knowledge and abilities gained through the studying of the module.

Problem statement / brief

Brief:

Develop a 30 - 60 second animation showcasing your ability to ‘Bring to life’ an inanimate object.

You are to model, unwrap, texture, rig, animate light and render an object as if it is alive. See (Pixar’s Luxo Jr or Fantasia as an example)

This includes the environment that the object is situated in.

The overall quality of the animation is crucial. This will include the overall appeal of the design, modelling, texturing, lighting and animation. Use reference as appropriate to develop visual style, this is particularly important when attempting to create a mood using atmospheric lighting and texturing.

This assignment will demonstrate your understanding of the first semester's work in this module.
