Company: electronic cash register manufacturer Objective: use this to connect old ECR to our cloud solution Research, development, and manufacturing company offers remote work for a developer (organization) with experience in Linux-based development projects. The External Internet Module (EIM) is a small module that connects to the cash register and allows it to communicate on the Internet ([login to view URL] service). EIM will be built on the Orange Pi i96, Debian OS. Brief description of modules: GUI - WEB interface - LAN, Wifi, 3G connectivity settings - Setting IP, proxy, DHCP - Time setting - Set User name and Password - Perform immediate synchronization. (both cloud backup and cloud server update) - Perform immediate withdrawal of treasury data (log / sales data) - Set synchronization at time intervals Core - Downloading data from ECR - Sending data to the Server - Receiving data from external sources - Recording data into ECR - Resolving a data conflict - Back-up and archiving of data stored in ECR - Auto-upgrade of the EIM firmware - Upgrade of the ECR firmware - Creating an ECR’s Ethernet/Wi-fi interface through EIM for devices that can be connected externally - Automatic recognition of a connected cash register - Setting EIM parameters - Protection against unauthorised access - LOG - Communication with ElcomPOS Interfaces - Buttons 1,2 - LEDs 1,2 - RS232 - USB - Wi-Fi - SD card

Hi, as you may see from my previous freelancer feedback, I have done some good work on embedded systems, mainly using Microchip 32 Bit Micro Controllers. I have made them communicate over LAN, using TCP/IP and UDP, over UARTs and CAN. I have also made a WEB interface on them using Microchip Harmony HTTP server library. I have also programmed on Linux (Debian), although not on embedded systems yet. I have at home a couple of "Orange Pi PC" boards, and I have also built a reduced Debian release for them. I do not have an "Orange Pi i96" board yet, but of course I could buy some. I have gone through your specification and, although I haven't looked at all the details, I think I can help with your project. I think I would need a sample of your "old ECR" device to develop/test, or you should suggest a way to do it without having that device here. If you contact me I would be glad to further discuss your project and even do some preliminary work before you award the project to me so you could better decide. Regards Ciro
