Hey all I am in need of a XP guru in order to help me with my issue.
I have an image that i copied off an SSD that was inside a document scanner. Its running embedded windows xp and so i figured i could put my own program on there instead of using their default program which is ugly and slow.
You will need to find out where the program is starting up at (run/runonce/registry/ect) and have an outcome of being able to disable that program from coming up since its embedded windows is locked down (start menu, ctl+alt+del, etc). Until the default program is taken away I wont be able to get my own program on it.
So to sum it up:
-looking to disable the start-up program when windows starts.
-find any files that are used in order to work the printer (scan, display scan, etc).
I have a VM image (vmx) that I will give to you. It runs on VM Workstation. The file is around 10GB so make sure you also have enough bandwidth to download it for you to use.
Hi, I'm an experienced server manager and I've worked similar projects before, I would like to discuss the details with you since I need to ask you a few things related on what is needed to be done (there are details in project but I need to know what are you looking for exactly)
Let me know so we can start a small talk, I'll be awaiting for your contact.
Regards
Javier
Hello, StealthRT!
It sounds like an interesting challenge and very good fit. I have great experience with VMware Workstation, so it will be done in a very professional way.
Please share your VM image and let me know when you are okay to discuss. Thank you.
Best regards,
-Mike
