I would like a coder who can read up on the Dropbox API, to develop two component of a new website concept. The dropbox API is available in Python or Ruby.
A) web setup portal
1) register a free user by soliciting a user name and email address
1a) optional ajax check for username availability against mysql table
2) verifying his email with outbound confirmation link
3) asking dropbox to connect their account to our account for that same user email
4) add this association to a mysql database,
5) with with a further mysql table to be used by the procmail interface below.
B) a procmail script in python to interface to Dropbox which is set up to
1) receive email with attachments to the username@[login to view URL]
2) and receive email with attachments to anyname@[login to view URL]
3) to filter attachments against a blacklist of filetypes (like exe, msi, vp)
4) to remove the email attachments and place them in an ATTACHMENTS folder under the dropbox account associated with the recipient email
5) to ask dropbox API for the "share" link for that file
6) to add to our MYSQL database the association between the sender, receiver, filename, and dropbox share link
7) to place the sharelink into the email message in place of the attachment
8) then to forward the modified email onto the specified recipient email address, whether an existing member or a prospective member.
