Dear scripters, I have a special request and hope that one of you can help me out. I work in a IT company that delivers managed services on cloud environments. We have our own private cloud but also have a couple of customers that are using MS Azure public cloud to host their servers. In Azure every client has its own subscription and portal that contains their server environment using the Azure backup and site recovery solution. Our engineering team is responsible for the management on the customer Azure portals and have to do a daily check on all the backups to see if they completed successfully or not . For our private cloud we have a central solution but for Azure customers we need to login in each portal separatly to check if the backups succeeded or not. So what do I need! This activity needs to be automated and this should be possible with a powershell script. I have seen a couple of examples on the web but I don’t have enough PS experience and the internal guy who normally does this kind of jobs had been sick for a while. How should it work This PowerShell scrip should log in to into the subscription, go to the place where Azure logs this information, get it, write it in a [login to view URL] and go the next subscription and repeat. Since we have multiple Azure customers / Subscriptions that we need to check and often changes the script should be flexible for adding/removing subscriptions. I think we need to store them into a [login to view URL] that contains per client a line with the info that is needed to login and get the data. So something like this ClientName01 – AzureLogin – Run PowerShell script to get the log files – Write to [login to view URL] ClientName02 – AzureLogin – Run PowerShell script to get the log files – Write to [login to view URL] ClientName04 – AzureLogin – Run PowerShell script to get the log files – Write to [login to view URL] ClientName04 – AzureLogin – Run PowerShell script to get the log files – Write to [login to view URL] Other option is to write it all in one file [login to view URL] We need to schedule this PowerShell script so it must run automatically. I hope I made myself a little bit clear, if you have any questions, please let me know. And btw, if you have a better solution for this then go for it. I understand you don’t have a test environment, like a couple of Azure portals to check if the script works. I have one and can prepare it with a couple of active backups. Maybe if you place this a couple of times in a row it could be used to see if it works on multiple tenants. So thank you in advance, hope that I made any sense and let me know if you are up for it.
